Welcome to Planet Tabloid

Recently, JPL's Phoenix Lander finally confirmed the presence of water on Mars. Scientists had theorized the possibility of water on the Martian surface for decades, but Phoenix finally validated the speculation. Did this significant, groundbreaking moment make large font, front page headlines? No. The public, minus a rare few, just shrugged, grabbed the remote, and switched over to Access Hollywood (or Judge Judy). It seems the top headlines these days are reserved for much more important issues, like People Magazine shelling out 14 million dollars for the first pictures of the Brangelina twins.

Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to Planet Tabloid.
